Available in EX and SX Prestige trims, the Kia Sorento Hybrid is powered by a battery-assisted 1.6-liter turbo-four engine with 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel-drive models achieve an EPA-estimated 37 mpg combined, while all-wheel-drive models are rated at 34 mpg.1

The Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid leverages a larger electric powertrain to increase horsepower to 261. A 14-kWh battery pack helps achieve an EPA-estimated 79 MPGe (miles-per-gallon equivalent). And with 32 miles of electric-only range, it's a great way to experience EV driving without going full-electric. The Sorento PHEV is easy to live with, reaching a full charge in ~10.5 hours with a standard 120V household outlet. Level 2 (240V) equipment cuts the charging time to ~3.5 hours.

Interior and Versatility

The Kia Sorento Hybrid's interior is pleasantly accommodating, with attractive design elements, quality materials, and cozy seats that provide long-distance comfort. Second-row captain's chairs offer a more open cabin feel while improving third-row access. And many experience-enhancing amenities are standard, including heated, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity entry, and a hands-free liftgate. The Sorento Plug-in Hybrid is fully equipped, combining all features into a single trim level.
